I'm migrating from a previous email system where we were resending emails of a 5 part email series again after a few days if they didn't open it. This get's really messy in HubSpot because you can't rejoin the same "branch" after progressing down it. And leads to a pretty simple workflow turning into a mess because of all the if/then's associated depending on if they opened email 1, then not 2, then 3, then not 4, then 5 with any combination of those.
I normally wouldn't do this sort of behavior, but the resends do get a decent amount of opens and clicks from them so there is merit in the behavior. Has anyone solved this before?
We've had similar use cases, and also haven't discovered a built-in HubSpot solution that doesn't lead to the HubSpot Workflow Butterfly Effect. 🙂
We're just certain to enable the "Don't send to unengaged contacts" setting on these sends, so we're not also shooting ourselves in the foot as a result of skyrocketing graymail. (reeeeally important in HubSpot)
