Recurring scheduled marketing emails

Hi community,

Is there a workaround for creating a recurring, weekly email reminder if I don't have access to the "schedule" option in the workflows?

I would like to send a weekly email to a list.

Thank you

Hi @Aaskarovo,

Here's what you could do:

  1. Create a "Last weekly email send date" contact date property
  2. For all soon-to-be-recipients, set this property to the previous Monday's date
  3. Create a contact-based workflow that enrolls contacs then this property is more than 7 days ago AND when this property is known and enable re-enrollment for the latter
  4. In the workflow, add a workflow action that includes the send of the automated email
  5. At the end of the workflow, use the "Set property value" to update the date property to the current date
  6. Turn on the workflow

I haven't tested this but it should work. I recommend testing this with a few sample contacts first and see if it works without issues for 2-3 weeks before unleashing it onto your actual contacts.
