Personalizing a welcome series email sequence based on quiz results

SOLVE

I'm interested in designing a welcome email series that prioritizes personalization and has an interactive component that goes beyond a general call to "manage your preferences"

In the welcome email, I would like to invite the new contact to take a quiz that will ensure they recieve everything they want (and nothing they don't).

I want the quiz results to trigger a sequence of emails that are only related to the interests the contact has expressed in the quiz.

Any ideas come to mind on how best to automate an experience like this (I assume it would involve using a lead form)? Also open to suggestions on other ways to achieve my original intention of motivating the contact to manage their preferences in an engaging way from the first welcome email.

Hi @pahy96,

The starting point could be a form where contacts can make choices, yes. If contacts are already in your CRM, you could also present them with choices in an email, by either sending them the link to the form or showing them multiple buttons directly in the email. (There would have to be a distinct landing page behind each of these or they would have to be created separately in the CTA tool.)

If contacts make a selection through a form, you can then enroll contacts who have submitted the form in a contact-based workflow, use an if/then branch based on their selections and use the "Send email" action and delays to present them with your welcome email series.

If you go the route of buttons in your email, the starting point in your workflow would not be the form submission but the receipt of the marketing email. You could then branch by which button was clicked and again, set up "Send email" actions in each branch.

The above requires a Marketing Hub Professional subscription, it's not possible to do this without one. If you don't have the subscription, you could use the same filters as I suggested using in workflows for lists instead. You could then manually email these lists.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions or whether I should go into detail!

Thanks Karsten. For new contacts, I'm going to direct them to a form in the first Welcome email. For current contacts, I'm going to send an email that goes to the form (but does not trigger any extra emails).
