Yes, HubSpot will give you that specific error when X = Z. Otherwise, X will override Z. You can also pull reports on Property was any of X and is now Z, or Property was any of Z and now Y. Or Property was any of Z and was never Y, etc.

In my experience, when a workflow says that it cannot update information because it already exists, it means the information you are trying to override it with is already in place. Updating information already in place can help solidify if someone is already a contact and verifies current information, etc. Can you please provide more information?
1. What is property X? Y?
2. Why do you want to override it?
3. What are you looking to accomplish with overriding the information?
4. If the 3 above questions are not understandable to an outsider, please provide a few sentences for clarification. Most of the questions in the Community are personalized to their business, and more information helps lead to clearer answers.

Hi Stefani, sorry! I´ll try to provide more complete information.
X content is, for example, "black"
Y content is, for example, "white"
Then, I want to overwrite Y with "black"
Thinking about that, maybe this message "Some properties were already set to the correct value and were not changed" only happens when X and Y have the same content. Isn´t it? In other situations, Y is overweited from X.
