Non-detection of created contacts

Why is it that Hubspot cannot detect that a contact has already been created? sometimes it can detect and sometimes it cannot, resulting to a duplicate account..?

Q: Non-detection of created contacts?

 

Short A: HubSpot auto-manages duplicate contacts based on email address.

 

Longer A:

Interesting, but someone else just asked a similar question. Please reach out if HubSpot isn't auto-deduping the same email addresses. This would be a G14-classified priority #1 alert. haha
