Onbaording at the moment, we had setup a general linear lead score via the settings menu. Then last week I saw there is a Lead Score item under the Marketing menu, when opened it shows no lead scores setup. I checked the previous one and it is still in the system. Should we be setting this one up as well as the settings one? Does one override the other? If we wanted to use a 100 score with 40/60 split between marketing and sales do we create it in the marketing menu one and is it single score split into two groups or a scroe for each one. The knowledge base isn't clear on this. Thank you.
The 'old' score properties (set up in the property settings) will be sunset this year:
CRM | Customer Success | Lead Scoring
Sunsetting Legacy Scoring Property
January 27, 2025
What is it?
Score properties will be sunset on August 31, 2025. But don't worry, new and improved tools are here to take their place:
Marketing Professional and Enterprise customers can now create scores using the Lead Scoring tool, which features more advanced logic and actionable insights.
Service Hub Professional and Enterprise customers can build health scores inside the customer success workspace, which features easy categorization and insights.
Why does it matter?
While score properties allowed for positive and negative criteria, they lacked essential features like actionable insights, decay, resets, and scalable rules. Limits to the number of filters caused frustration and an unscalable model. Migrating to these new tools will be much easier now that the List Membership rule and the ability to test a record are available.
Timeline
May 1: The ability to create new custom score properties will be disabled. In the example below, the create button will be disabled.
August 31: Existing scoring properties will stop updating and will slowly be removed
Who is impacted?
All Professional and Enterprise customers
Best regards
