When looking in the lists or even at the emails their is not an easy way to just keep the view as folders instead of the entire list.

 

The list view gets a little overwhelming even when you archieve emails.

This is absolutely the case that many users face. What I have worked with first-hand and with clients is to create a naming convention to help keep your files organized.  By using a naming convention you can easily search for your files. Then you don't have to worry about navigating layers of folders either.

Absolutely agree. Also I recommend codifying them so you can search shorthand, which maybe what Ben is alluding to.
