Lead scoring sequence - how does it work?

SOLVE

What I mean here is - does the rules gets processed sequentially or does it just tries to match to one rule.

Let me explain with an example

BalintSipos_0-1736436980412.png

My aim here is to give 5 score to people who visits priority pages and all other page visits get 1 point. And then certain pages that are undesired gets zero.

So if a person visits a priority page they get 4 points from one of the first 2 rules and get a 5th from the page visited - Base URL - is known.

Is this how this is going to get processed?

And on similar veins if I'd want to not give a point on specific pages should I just subsctract 1 point from specific pages as they would get 1 point for all page visits?

This is how I imagine it but I can also imagine the process wouldn't go over all the rules.

Hi @BalintSipos,

HubSpot evaluates each scoring rule and check if it holds true – if it does, the contact gets the corresponding points for all rules that are evaluated as true (as long as the scoring group is not limiting it).

In other words, yes, there would be scenarios where a page view meets the criteria of multiple of your rules. HubSpot doesn't stop after finding the first criterion which is met.

Ah just one additional question, @karstenkoehler , on this topic if you don't mind.

I'd like to create a separate score for different marketing channels. Meaning we would have a paid channel score, for example, and people coming from specific UTM values and doing a thing like visiting a page would get that kind of score.

I see I can set the score for a person visiting a specific page. But I am unsure how to filter that page visit to a particular UTM also. It seems that I can only either set the Base URL or the UTM and not both. Am I missing something here?
