Is there anyway to import a list of just company names with out creating duplicates?

Is there any way to import a list of just company names without creating duplicates? I am trying to import a list of just company names and then export them with their domain name as that will be auto-matched. Is there anyway to do this?

Sorry. No.

"When a new company is added through import, HubSpot looks at the Company domain name property value to deduplicate companies. If a company with the same company domain name already exists in your account, the new company information will be added to the existing company record.

If you do not include this property in your import, each row of your import file will be imported as a new company record."

YW, TSJ. If you're need a workaround for cleaning up (updating) existing company names, you might consider exporting your HubSpot Companies. Once done, you can scrubb them in Excel then re-import using either the already established domain names (key), or the exported unique HubSpot Company ID.
