Why am I unable to increase or decrease Hubspot lead scores using workflows?
I set up my enrollment criteria and try to add a step wherein I can increase the contacts Hubspot lead score - But I am unable to select the 'Hubspot score' field because 'it is calculated by Hubspot and cannot be edited'.
Use case: I want to increase the score for every marketing email that is opened or clicked. I cannot achieve this using the positive/negative attributes built on the Hubspot score field.

Increase/Decrease lead score using workflows
SOLVE
I tried making a workflow on my end that added them to a static list, which is an enrollment trigger on a workflow that updates their score and then removes them from the static list AND allows for re-enrollment. This solved the issue of multiple form submissions and engagements.
Process:
A. Create a static workflow of form submissions and engagements called "Engagement Static List for XYZ."
B. Create a workflow called "HubSpot Score Enhancement" and make the enrollment triggers: List membership is any of "Engagement Static List for XYZ." Make the triggers the score of positives or negatives. Make each branch/ending of the workflow then remove them from the static list. Set the re-enrollment criteria to list membership is any of "Engagement Static List for XYZ."
This way it will trigger each time someone engages with the emails, forms, CTAs, etc. that you specify and will re-enroll them to add unto their score each time they engage.
I know this is not a native feature to HubSpot and not as easy. However, I feel as though this could possibly be a workaround until the feature is available. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you!

It looks like you are only able to set positive and negative attributes for the lead scoring if you are an Enterprise or Professional member. More Info. Do you have either of those?
If not, you are not able to edit the HubSpot score. I have tried to find workarounds, but have yet to find one.

I am using Active lists to update the scores as of now. But I believe using a workflow will make the score more accurate because workflows handle repeat form submissions or engagements with multiple emails.

Were you able to successfully get a workflow like you described to work? I tried following that methodolgy which seemed logical to me, but the problem i ran into was when instructing the workflow to remove the contact from the static list after updating their score, their score reverted back to 0 since they were no longer on the list.
