Identifying which contacts have visited a page on my site

resolver

Hi, still new to HubSpot so I appreciate any advice.

I'm trying to get information on contacts' website activity, say, generating a list of contacts who have visited a given page. I have found a number of community posts (this one, for example—the reply from chutchens) that suggest using an active list filtered for visits to a specific url.

I do not have this option—I only see first/last page seen, average/number of page views, but no options for specific urls. Has this filter been discontinued? Is it not available to me because of my subscription tier (Marketing Starter)? Can anyone suggest ways to get comparable information?

Many thanks!

Hi @EFreyer. You're on the right track, just keep going. Some of the options for "page seen" will include "has ever been" type statements and you'll be able to group the people you're looking for into the list.

My workaround: Using Lists

When you create a list, you can filter page views. Then, you can filter a contact by list membership.

Thanks for your response. I understand I can filter for specific urls under "First page seen" and "Last page seen." The community post linked in my question shows a screenshot where the filter is simply "Page Views" (no First or Last), and that option is unavailable to me. I'd like to create a list based on site activity generally, not delimited by first or last page viewed.

Using "First page seen"/"Has ever been" does not produce a viable list. Testing with a page that's among the most trafficked on our entire site, using "First page seen/has ever been" returns a list of exactly 1 contact (which we know not to be the total contact activity on that page because of clicks in a recent HS email). We're looking for a list of all contacts who have navigated to a page at any point—not just those for whom it was a first or last page visited.

I have the same issue.  Page Views is not an option, only first and last, which would exclude if they looked at a page in the middle.

I have the same problem and this first page/last page thing was my first idea as well. But it doesn't work well enough. If they see that page in the middle of their visit, it was never their first or last page.😢

Did you find any solution? @EFreyer

Unfortunately not. If I come across something helpful I'll update here, but hopefully HubSpot will address this sooner rather than later!

Hi @Crystal_Hopper

If we use the "last page seen has ever been" a specific page, would it be literally "has this page ever been - at one point - the last one visited by this contact"?

Long shot, but trying to see if that would be a way of seeing if the contact has ever visited that page...

Thanks!
