How to route Form Submission leads to a normal workflow?

SOLVE

Hello -

We have a multiple forms that leads can fill out to receive a different gated e-books. I want leads who fill out that form to route to a nurture workflow that sends weekly newsletter emails (separated by industry). Unfortunately, you cannot route form submissions to a normal workflow, only a simple workflow - so I attempted to create a workaround.

From my past research, I had this set up as follows:
1. Lead fills out form
2. Lead receives an email immediately via a simple workflow set up in the form
3. Lead then is added to a static list via the simple workflow in the form
4. Nurture workflow entry is triggered by membership of that static list (and by form submission separately- I know this is redundant, but Im double covering my bases lol)
5. Nurture workflow starts the weekly newsletter emails.

I am concerned that I am missing people because this is a static list - not an active list.

There has to be an easier way to do this.. am I crazy? (We have Marketing Hub Enterprise btw)

... wait, what? Why wouldn't that be possible, could you elaborate on that? Regular workflows allow enrollment based on 'When filter criteria is met' > 'Form submission'. You can either pick any or specific ones, then enable re-enrollment for that.

That would save you steps 2-4 in your current process. Just straight from the form into a contact-based workflow, no intermediary simple form automation or lists needed.

You can either design one 'hub' workflow that uses an and/or branch to branch by industry and then send contacts to the other specific nurture workflow – or create workflows directly that only enroll contacts coming in from specific industries.
