How to attribute a campaign when inbound data only lives on the Company?

I'm sure there's a way to do this... will just have to be creative...
We get lead data from G2 Crowd whenever companies are viewing our reviews. That's currently syncing through a couple of fields on the Company record that sync with Salesforce and create a task for the sales owner to prospect it further. I'd like to automate some attribution if an Opportunity is then opened as a result of the original lead, but I'm not sure how. Any ideas?
I was thinking it could be via Campaigns, but they're specific to people which that data isn't really syncing to at the moment. The only way I can think to go this route would be to push data from the Account field to all new contacts that are created and then assign those to the campaign, but that seems like a ridiculous assumption. Is there a better way?
