How can I exclude contacts from an active workflow?

SOLVE

After a workflow is turned on, there are a number of contacts who met the triggered criteria would be enrolled. How can I exclude some of those contacts from this active workflow?

SOLVE

Hi @HDang9,

 

There are various ways of doing that, the two most common would be:

  • Creating a list containing those contacts and then using a "AND Contact is not member of [list]" enrollment criterion.
  • Going to Settings > Unenrollment and suppression > Suppression lists for this workflow in the workflow editor and excluding the list here.

This is not referring to 20 contacts but to 20 lists, containing as many contacts as you'd like.

Hi @HDang9,

How can I exclude contacts from an active workflow?

Hi @karstenkoehler ,

Thanks for your suggestions. However, in the 2nd option, I see there are up to 20 contacts that can be added to the suppression lists (as below image). So I have several cases needed to solve:

- What happened if I add contacts to the suppression lists & turn the setting on, and then after it was removed from the workflow (how can I check), I remove those contacts from the list? Moreover, if I turned the re-enrollment setting (from the beginning), are those contacts enrolled in this workflow again?

- How can I remove more than 20 contacts from the workflow quickly?

@karstenkoehler good clarification - can you imagine only suppressing 20 contacts? Yikes - nightmare lol!
