Filter contact base by email type ie gmail, hotmail Vs Company email

SOLVE

Hi there

I want to split my marketing contacts into 2 groups.

One with contacts that have a generic address such as gmail, hotmail, icloud etc email and the other for the rest...essentially those with a company email.

What's the best way to do it?  I hoped that I'd be able to use wildcards such as *@hotmail.* for instance which didn't work, then read on a help page that the list filters won't understand it.

Any advice about the best way to do it then?  And as a secondary point, is possible to setup an active list so new contacts will continue to be filtered in this way?

Many thanks

Jimmi

Hi @Jimmi78,

This can be done by filtering for the contact property "Email domain" in an active contact-based list: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/lists/create-active-or-static-lists

You can also paste email addresses in bulk: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/Filtering-a-view-with-a-comma-separated-list-of-company-IDs/m-p...

That way, you can paste a large list of email providers (click "Raw" in the top right corner before copying). https://gist.github.com/humphreybc/d17e9215530684d6817ebe197c94a76b
