Filter by "field is NOT empty"

Hi Community,

I can't seem to figure out how to build a list that pulls contacts where X field is NOT empty. HubSpot forces me to always input a non-null value.

Am I missing something obvious? This seems like a pretty standard filter to use.

Thanks,

Hoi

Hi @hoinguyen

For most properties you should be able to use the 'is known' filter.

Does that work?

There it is! Haha I guess it was an obvious thing that I missed 🙂

Thanks for the tip, Phil!

Hmmmm, I'm having this problem.  I only want to include people who are on a specific list and where a contact property is not null.  I used the "Is known" filter, yet it still sent the email to two individuals who had null values (which makes me and by extension, our company, look pretty foolish).

This is the second campaign I've had this happen and I really hate it!  I really wish that "Is null" or "Is not null" were specific filters!

Hi @MindyW

Is known should rule out contacts where the specified property is null. How did you add the contacts to the email send? A list or a workflow?

Workflow with form submit  and contact volue as "known" as the enrollment criteria.
