Exporting Data

In the permissions you are able to make it so someone can not export contacts and other records, but in the marketing side you are not able to control this. 

Due to privacy of information we need the ability for this feature to be turned off as well. If you select it on the persmissions screen it should carry over to all portals.

Thanks for this suggestion. You are correct, the export toggle grants access to export contacts, companies, and deals specifically as shown in this Knowledge Base article.

I like your suggestion to change the functionality of the "Export" toggle to also manage export permissions for marketing content. I would encourage you to post this idea in the Ideas Forum. This is a great platform for communicating feature requests to our Product Team.

In the meantime, I'm happy to help you determine how to prevent users from exporting specific marketing content. Can you please provide more details on what content you do not want users to be able to export (landing pages, marketing emails, reports, etc.)? For example, if your goal is to prevent a user from exporting landing pages, removing "Publish" permissions for a user would accomplish this.

I am wanting the user to not be able to export the contact lists from the email analytics pages. If they don't have export turned on in the overall settings this should also cover the lists they send to on who opened, bounced, etc. from the email performance tab

Thank you for clarifying @kfavaloro !

I just ran a few tests in my own portal and a user should not be able to export contacts from the recipients tab if the Export toggle is off. If the Export toggle is off, the user will see the attached error.

If you are seeing users who have the Export toggle turned off that are still able to export email recipients, can you please send me a message with the users email and your Hub ID?
