I am tryinto enroll markeitn contacts into our campaign workflow. And the recent contacts have moved to stage two of the flow instead of starting at the beginning. How do I rectify that and ensure the next contacts are enrolled into the beginning of the workflow instead of the stage where the other contacts are in
There is probably something happening which is making it look as if a contact enrolled at a later workflow action – but that's not what's going on. I've never experienced this in close to 10 years of using workflows. It's not impossible but unlikely.
Can you please share a screenshot of your workflow?

I have attached a screen shot below - as you can see it should say 600 contacts in stage two and 600 in stage one. At the moment it seems they are all in the second stage. Not sure why that is
This is HubSpot telling you how many contacts are currently in that action, not how many have ever been in that action. After moving on to the next action, the number will reduce again, usually to 0. This is expected behavior. Your contacts went through the earlier actions as well.

So the 600 contacts i enrolled this morning will receive the first email in that workflow?
As when i enrolled contacts to the workflow yesterday - the email 1 had the number of contacts enrolled for that email.
This one tells me that the recent contacts are waiting to receive the next set of emails. I just need clarity on this. I am conscious that the recent contacts enrolled today will get the second email without the introduction email. I hope that makes sense
A-ah! I see we can assume that any contacts i add within the open time frame will be automatically put into the sent box. the only time i see them at the stage is when i am enrolling contacts outside of permitted times set for the workflow?
Well i enrolled contacts a few minutes ago and they have moved to the stage two. So not sure why that is. As per the timings they should have been active till tomorrow morning
