Custom List

I am having more trouble than anticipated using HubSpot. So I will be specific with what I need.

All I require is the ability to assign specific contacts to specific email lists i.e 

• Web Hosting Clients (they will receive newsletters related to web hosting trends)
• Generic (generic newsletter for all potential and existing clients)
• Small Business (newsletter aimed specifically at small business)

Can this be done in the free version?

Hi @stealthysteve, 

If you create a custom contact property for these three options, you can create an active list that will automatically pull in all contacts who, for example, have Web Hosting Clients as a value for that custom property. You get 5 active lists on a free HubSpot subscription.

Thanks for this. I managed to apply the property correctly. 

Am I able to bulk apply this property to my contacts or does it have to be done manually?
