I want to create a customer onboarding workflow which sends emails to contacts associated to Deals automatically when the Company Type changes from Prospect to Customer.
Make a Deal-based workflow, choose the Company property you need (in my example it's Lifecycle stage = Customer) then send an email to the associated Contacts.

When you go to publish your worklfow, it will ask you whether you want to send it to all who are currently marked as the critieria you've set, or only those moving forward. It's in your control! 😊
