Creating Contact List based on ESP/Device Opens

SOLVE

Anyone know of a way to use ESP or Device Open information that can be found from an individual recipient's "Activity" to create a segmented list?

Ex. I'd like to establish a Workflow that adds contacts who opened a campaign on mobile into one segment and those that opened on desktop to another.

Q: Anyone know of a way to use ESP or Device Open information that can be found from an individual recipient's "Activity" to create a segmented list? ?

Short A: No.

Longer A:

Not sure what your use case is, but don't think there's a built-in native HubSpot way to directly segment Contacts based on the device used to open a specific HubSpot Marketing Email campaign. (pretty sure there's not)

That being said, if you need to build such a segment in HubSpot, you'll want to compel visitors, email recipients, whatever to engage with SMART CONTENT based on their current device type. Smart CTAs work well when trying to identify devices.

- see image (Smart CTA)

NOTE: Normally, each CTA Smart Version would appear identical to all device types. We only changed the buttonization to emphasize the Smart Content differences.

HubSpot can also automatically render Smart Content (including CTA's) on pages based on which device is being used to view it.

Once we have engagement, we can THEN build segments to serve Contacts using those devices. (if appropriate, as in your use case)
