I have a workflow in which one of the steps is to rotate account ownership between certain members of a team. That team is set up in 'Users and Teams' but it nested under our 'AE' team. This is because we have AEs for different segments and geographies.
The team rotation action in workflow has this team greyed out with a line 'Empty teams can't be used for lead rotation'. But this team is not empty. I have double-checked it just to be sure. Is the workaround to take them out of the nesting and make them a separate team? That would just create additional teams.
If you select to rotate between a team, only primary team members of that team will be considered by the workflow. Records will not be rotated to additional team members.

Thanks for the response, Karsten. So, you're saying if I have a primary team as Marketing and then have nested teams such as Content, Events, Ads, etc., and have members in each of these nested teams, I cannot rotate ownership to them? In that case, the only way out would be having primary teams such as Marketing - Content, Marketing - Events, Marketing - Ads, etc. Am I getting this right? If yes, that is counter-intuitive and defeating the whole purpose of having the nested teams feature in the first place.
