We use the out-of-the-box lifecycle stages in HubSpot. I've noticed our sales team will often mark a single lead as "sales qualified lead" or "opportunity", but not all the leads.
I would like to create a process that marks all leads an opportunity if any leads with the same email domain and/or company occur (I would want to keep this to business domains only).
I would also like to create a way for any new lead that comes in for that company, also gets auto updated as marketing contact and opportunity.
I'm fairly certain I could create a workflow for this, but feels rather ambiguous and confusing at this point. Any supporting ideas or setup thoughts?
You should be able to achieve this behavior with two steps:
Make sure that under Settings > Objects > Contacts > Lifecycle Stage, the Sync lifecycle stages checkbox is toggled.
Set up a contact-based workflow that enrolls contacts when their Lifecycle stage is any of Opportunity, then use the Set property value workflow action to update the Lifecycle stage of the associated company to Opportunity. Follow with an action for to Set marketing contact status.
Now, the update of one contact to Opportunity, should update the associated company which, as per the setting, updates all associated contacts. All contacts enroll again, and get set as marketing contacts.
Have a look, test, and let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
