Adding contacts to static list with specific emails or Record IDs

SOLVE

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to add bigger group of contacts (20-100) to a static list which is not defined via a property (it is actually to update a property which is multiple choice). We have the record ids or emails of these groups, but cannot find a way to easily add these to the list without using import tool.

This is to update /appened a value of a property without overwriting the already existing tagged properties on a regular basis. So we are creating a workflow for this. Let me know if there is a faster way of adding these contacts to a list without having to do an import of the ids to create a list.

@TBaltus if you have the email addresses, this approach should work 🙂 https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/Filtering-a-view-with-a-comma-separated-list-of-company-IDs/m-p...

Adding contacts to static list with specific emails or Record IDs

Hi @TBaltus ,

If you have the list of contact emails that you want to include in this list the fastest way to do this is to just import the list of email address that you have and click to create a list from the import.

Is there any reason that you don't want to do it this way? It should be very quick and hassle-free!

Hi,

thanks a lot for the fast reply.

yes this is the fastest way via import, but we have the import restricted to only the admins for now, but I need my team to create these by themselves - so import would not be an option - if there is no other way we have to do it like this, but was just wondering if there is either another way, or if there is another way to import the data without overwriting the other existing values in the multiple choice ?

Thanks a lot for your help

@TBaltus if not overwriting the checkbox values is the challenge, then a single semicolon at the beginning will be the fix 🙂 https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/import-data-to-checkbox-properties#add-values-to-a-m...

Hi, thanks a lot, I was not aware of this neither - this solves 50% of my problem. THough still wondering if there is a way to add people fast to a static list without creating an import. But more now out of interest as you solved in general my issue. Thanks a lot
