Smart rules on form, unable to see expected results
resolver
Hi , So it seems like I am stuck in a similar situation. I apply smart rules to form in a landing page. I am adding smart rules on form in my landing page. I am applying smart rules on Form title, Button text & Thank you messages. However, I am unable to see results as expected. My form is already published & in use on other landing pages.
From my understanding, because forms are built within it's own tool it is essentially hard coded to show that data. You are able to upate the Title and Thank you message because those are set based on the landing page.
The button doesn't seem to be hard coded to the form tool itself, so it always reverts back to what is set inside of the settings of the form.
I have had a developer make it where smart content was able to be used, so might be worth looking into a custom solution if it's really important to your process.
1. Did you double-check that the smart rules you’ve set on your form title, button text, and thank you message are published and properly targeted? 2. I understand that you are using a smart form, right? 3. Is the landing page a HubSpot landing page or external one? 4. Can you test in an incognito/private browser or clear cookies, as HubSpot may cache your previous session (especially for testing by lifecycle or list membership).
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
So after some drill I was able to get results as expected on form title & Thank-you mesages. However, I am still unable to apply smart rules on Button text.
Any suggestions and ideas? It keeps falling back to the default values.
If you’re using a basic Button module in a page editor, as of now, smart rules cannot be applied directly to the default Button module’s text.
Regarding applying smart rules on button CTA, have you tried using a rich text module instead and inserting a styled hyperlink that looks like a button?

I appreciate the tag @BérangèreL, but I don't think I have the knowledge to help @AArshad9 on this specific need. I haven't added smart content to form buttons. I'll defer to others who can hopefully help.
Did my answer help? Please "mark as a solution" to help others find answers. Plus I really appreciate it!
I use all tools available to help answer questions. This may include other Community posts, search engines, and generative AI search tools. But I always use my experience and my own brain to make it human.
