Set contact preferred language on form submit

Hi!

I'm trying to figure out how to automate the contact's preferred language when they submit a form. For now, the only solution I see is to add a prefilled hidden field.
Is there another way to automate this (without using workflows)?
I thought that submitting a form on a landing page where we set the language to French or where we set the form to French, would automatically set the preferred language of the user.

Hi @thomasvbe,

A hidden, prepopulated field for Preferred language is indeed the best option here and very widely used. Any other workaround (parameters, onFormSubmit custom JavaScript for forms, workflows) would require more work or maintenance.
