Referral Marketing Program Form - Lead Gen form with 2+ contacts

Hi all, I'm working on a referral marketing program and creating a form. Would anyone be willing to send me the steps for making it automatically fill with the recipients details?

2. Also how can I include space for the contact to include their own information as well as the information of the person they're referring. Once I use email/first name/last name once, it won't allow me to use the property twice.

Hi @alexagatiss,

HubSpot forms can be pre-populated via two means:

1. Forms options: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/form-fields-pre-populated-with-your-own-or-someone-else-s-inform... (This is unreliable as it assumes that the person accepts cookies and the same device every time.)
2. If you send a marketing email to contacts who are supposed to click on a link through to a landing page that hosts a form, you can follow these steps: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Tips-Tricks-Best-Practices/pre-filled-forms/m-p/815417/highlight/tr... (Contact information is passed through as link parameters and the form automatically pulls these parameters into fields.)

As far as creating multiple contacts goes, yes, that is also possible. I've previously explained how to do this here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/How-to-create-multiple-new-contacts-from-a-form-submission/m-p/... – the workflow UI has changed slightly since then but in short, the approach is to create custom additional fields for a second contact, then using these additional fields to capture the information of the second person, then copying the information from the fields into a new record.

The above assumes that you want this to be just one form submission, not two.

Actually, a better question might be: is there any consequence for having the person who fills out the form be a separate contact from the information of the contact that they fill out?

Will it replace the information that already exists in their contact? How can I have it create a new contact?

This can be accomplished via the Settings in the form - There are options such as - Pre-Populating known values, Adding a reset link to remove pre-populated values, Always create contact for new email address.

I am curious as to way you want to have the 2 records?
