Recording subscription consent

Experts,

I'm using an Elementor form with a consent checkbox to capture contact info and the subscriber's consent to receive emails from us.

The Elementor form communicates with my HubSpot database just fine. When I enter a test contact via the Elementor form, it appears in HubSpot.

But I don't know how to track the user's consent as indicated by the checkbox. Where would this datapoint appear in my HubSpot contact record?

Thanks.

Hi @AKubrin9,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Could you please confirm if form submissions are being passed into HubSpot as non-HubSpot forms?

If that’s the case, please note that for non-HubSpot forms, we are unable to directly pass subscription consent to the contacts. However, there are a few workarounds you can explore:

  • Creating a Contact List: You can create a list of contacts who have submitted the form, and then manually update their subscription preferences in bulk on the contact page. More details can be found in this knowledge base article.
  • Creating a HubSpot Form: If you create a HubSpot form, you can include a consent checkbox to update subscription preferences directly, as described here.
  • Using Workflows for Automation: You can enroll contacts who have filled out the form and then manage their communication subscriptions.

I hope this helps!
Diana
