Possible Chat Bubble iPhone Bug

There's a strange issue which we've encountered with the chat popups on an iPhone 6, iPhone 11, and iPhone 12... but does NOT happen on Android phones.  When a chat popup opens on the iPhones, a click on the "x" to close actually makes it go full screen... and it then takes one more click to actually close the windows.  A bit mystifying and annoying to users.  Is that a known bug or...?
