On my Wordpress website I show a table of products. Each product has a button for downloading the product data sheet. In return for downloading the datasheet I want their e-mail address (as a Hubspot Contact). I'm using Sales Hub Starter.
I thought it could be done with a popup form but I'm not sure any more.
First of all my Hubspot Wordpress plugin is not showing forms in the menu on the left, so I can not select them, neither can I find code (similar to embed code for non-popup forms) I can use for opening the popup forms in Wordpress.
Furthermore, when creating the popup form in Hubspot I need to choose a trigger, however there is no option to trigger by button click as needed by me.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I'm financially not able to upgrade to a higher plan.
One other idea to consider is just to use a standard Hubspot form and embed it into a modal in Wordpress whether you code it or use a plugin for the functionality. The Hubspot form code can be embedded anywhere.
Hey @Mkwadraat the tool you're looking for to do this wouldn't actually be pop-up forms, it's a part of the new CTA tool. You can see how to trigger a pop-up on a button click on your external content here.
Please note you will need a starter or above account to use the CTA tool!

@Mkwadraat as Tom mentioned, the tool moved and is in Pro. Instead, you could have the button go to a landing page. That's the only other solution to capture an email. (Unless you can use a chatbot, which is also possible with Starter I believe. A chatflow could ask them for their email and store it.)
