Non-HubSpot Forms

SOLVE

So, we use Wordpress to host our site and Forminator to create the website forms. We then track non-hubspot forms in HubSpot. previously, we were able to rename the forms in HubSpot so we could track which form was which. However, we recently updated our website and added some new forms> We began renaming them but found HubSpot is randomly adding new forms into the list despite them being on the same landing page. This is not ideal and makes tracking and reporting difficult. Has anyone experienced this or know what might be causing the new forms to be created?

Non-HubSpot Forms

SOLVE

Hi @JTeagle,

This is likely happening if there is some functionality on your website that adds classes to the forms dynamically.

For example, the below two forms have the same id (#fluentform_12) but different classes (.ff_form_instance_12_1 and .ff_form_instance_12_2)

I am not aware of any official release regarding this but if I recall correctly, classes were not included before in the non-HubSpot form identification - I could be wrong here since I do not work non-HubSpot forms frequently enough to remember clearly, but that would explain the change you are seeing.

There is a post in the ideas section from other users mentioning they are running into the same issue as well.

However, if you want immediate solutions, making sure that classes are consistent on your forms would be the best bet.

Non-HubSpot Forms

Hey @JTeagle, happy Friday!

I would recommend starting by clearing your HubSpot’s form cache or re-embedding the forms might help. This can happen if HubSpot detects slight variations in form structure, such as different field IDs or embed methods. Try checking for changes in the form code or settings.

To our top experts, @Crystal_Hopper and @evaldas do you have any recommendations for @JTeagle matter?

Thank you,

Pam
