Managing affiliate links through Hubspot

Hello, our team is setting up a Brand Ambassador/referral program and would like to use tracking URLs to create affiliate links in Hubspot that would enable us to 1. count how many users sign up for our app after clicking on a particular link and 2. keep track of which email addresses become registered users for our app thanks to a particular ambassador. To do this, I'm wondering whether it's possible to associate a UTM parameter in the tracking link with the contact owner parameter? I would like to set one of the UTM parameters as the name(s) of our Brand Ambassadors so they each have a personalized affiliate link to our website, and once a person signs up for our app and becomes a contact in our database (with their email address), also takes the info from the tracking link (i.e. the name of the Ambassador) and automatically sets the Brand Ambassador (who will be a View-Only Hubspot user on our account) as the Contact Owner.

Thanks for the reply. Users sign up directly through our web app, which is connected to Hubspot. Signing up is not a form submission (i.e. not a Hubspot form that they submit), but a quick process that requires connecting via email/Plaid

Can you confirm whether the sign-up for your app occurs on your HubSpot site or directly within the app?

If by signing up, you're referring to a form submission, then it's possible to fetch from the UTM parameter and append it to a hidden form field. On HubSpot, then you can attribute each contact to your ambassador based on the field value.
