Is it possible for a form to reject submission if the email address is already in the CRM?

SOLVE

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to reject a form submission is the email address entered already existing in the CRM?

 

I'm trying to set up a form for email acquisition and want to deter any existing customers signing up for the offer.

Short A: Not built-in HubSpot functionality.

 

Longer A:

Worth asking about some quick-n-dirty design tips over in the design forum.

 

It's typically best practice to clarify the offer directly in the ad then handle any outliers within a workflow in the CRM -- e.g., if Lifecycle stage is NOT Customer AND Lifecycle stage is NOT Evangelist, do something ...

Thank you for the ad examples. It would be really cool if Hubspot had this functionality to do a quick search through the CRM to ensure it's a new email address. I'll add it in the idea forum.

Custom development is always an option, but (again) maybe ask over in the design forum. Maybe a little javascript can solve for your use case @Brandy13.
