How to Make Answer to Form Dependent Field Required

On the form we use for job applicants, we have one dependent field that opens when the applicant chooses a specific position of interest. 

We want the applicant to be REQUIRED to answer "yes" or "no" to the question posed in the dependent field. 

Right now, it seems that the applicant could not answer the question and still submit the job app. 

How can we make answering this question REQUIRED?

When you click "Client Success Manager" as your position of interest, you will be asked: "Do you have at least two years of experience ...?"

There is a dropdown with "yes" or "no." 

We want the applicant to be forced to choose either "yes" or "no" before submitting the form.

@MaryBernard  You can require a property to be filled in a form by toggling on the: 'Make this field required'

Click into the dependent field and it will pull up the option to toggle this function on. 

If you do have that toggled on already, I would recommend checking the property history of the contact that submitted the form and see if there has ever been a value checked for that field or if it has been changed.

Yes - the "parent" field—the first question is required; we have it toggled
"on," and that is working. But there is no toggle option inside the
dependent field.

Regarding the property history of the contact who filled out the form: if I
understand you correctly ... this would not be an issue because this is a
brand-new dependent field. The only people to have completed the form have
been me and my co-workers in testing it. We have no history of having
completed it prior.

Please correct me if I am mistaken about your point.

@MaryBernard Ability to make dependent fields required is a native feature. Have you tried clicking into the dependent fields? If you open or click into the dependent field in the form itself, you can toggle the field as required. 

So this wouldn't be configured in the form logic, it would be in the visual form representation itself.
