How to Capture 'Surges' in Lead Scoring

resolver

Hi Guys,

Do any of you here attempt to capture when a prospect has a 'surge' in lead score?

It would be very useful to know when a prospect is scoring up 'rapidly'.

i.e. If a prospect scores up by 50% of their starting lead score over 48 hours, it would be very useful to be able to notify a Sales Development Rep of this 'surge' in lead score so that they can prioritise reaching out.

Any ideas / suggestions would be fantastic.

Cheers,

Adam

Hi @AdamShaw,

The only thing I can think of is if you are changing lifecycle stage based upon lead score. Provided you have notifications set up when a lifecycle changes, you would be notified when it meets that threshhold.

I suppose you could also do this with a custom property that changes based upon lead score. For example, your custom property could be "Lead Score Range" and the values might be 0-25, 26-50, 51-75, etc. (or whatever makes sense in your set up). When it passes a certain level to trigger a change in that property, you could set up a notification.

This wouldn't be exactly as you described, but it would accomplish large swings in lead score.

I'd love to hear if anyone else has other ideas for this.

Josh

@AdamShaw, this Capping Lead Scores per Activity and Session thread briefly discusses how to identify 'surges', and how to penalize offenders. Should give you a good place to start.
