Hiding fields until they are needed

Hi guys,

We're building a customer onboarding form, which allows the customer to add records of up to 8 users. Rather than have 8 sets of identical fields appearing from the get go, it would be great if we could have just 2 sets appearing; once those are filled in, the third appears, and so forth. I can't find a way to do this, and I can't find a post that deals with it. Anyone got any ideas?

Hiding fields until they are needed

Hi @JOxtoby ,

In hubspot there’s a provision of dependent fields that allows you to add multiple dependencies on 1 property, but you cannot put dependencies in a branching way that is one after the other. So what you are in need of is currently not possible but

What you can do is that you have to add at least 4 fields to add records and then depending on that when the fields are non empty (filled), an additional field will appear on your form.

I have created a video for your reference

https://www.loom.com/share/899a6148806c4fa090b97f87ab386dc2

Like this you will have to add 4 fields and they will contain 4 depending fields added to each one of them.

And if you strongly feel about this functionality, i suggest you to put this idea of yours in the hubspot community ideas section here https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

Hope this helps!

Thanks Wedbew. Your workaround won't work for me unfortunately as I want to have multiple groups of fields appear as others are completed, which the dependency field obviously can't handle. Never mind!
