Editing lead form does not save

Our team is starting to actively use the lead pipeline. When we add a lead to the pipeline from a contact or company record, with the add button in the collapsable sidebar there currently is no option to add a lead owner. 

So that's why we wanted to edit this form, and we were happy to see that we can add a lead owner field to this form. However no matter what we try the edited form doesn't save.

I have already cleared cache and I have admin permissions.

Please help.

For issues like these, I'd recommend reaching out to HubSpot support in-app directly, via chat or email. This sounds like a bug.

Thanks, I will in the future. I think I found the solution though, the sync lead owner setting is turned on and this probably overrules the field in this form.
