Creation of a custom object after filling in the HS form

Hey! I have this case:

1. I have a custom object created

2. I have a form in HS which asks for the user's email address and a dozen custom properties assigned to the custom object

I now want a custom obejct to be created with these properties when the form is completed and for this custom object to be immediately associated with the account (based on the email). Seems simple, but currently the data from the custom properties disappears and does not save anywhere (there is no custom object anywhere).

Hey Karsten, thank you so much for the answer. I just wanted to avoid creating unnecessary properties on the contact card, but you just confirmed that this is the only way. Thanks for your support!

Hi @HOlszowski,

This can be achieved with the 'Create record' workflow action. You would create a contact-based workflow, enroll the contact based on the form submission, then use the 'Create record' workflow action to create a record of your custom object. When configuring the action, you can specify the association to the source contact record.

For this to work, you (unfortunately) have to recreate each custom object field as a contact field so that you can place it in the form.

Once created, you can map the contact to the custom object field in the left sidebar of the 'Create record' action (via 'Add more properties').
