Contact can't enter .org email address

SOLVE

Hello -

I have a contact who wants to sign up for our newsletter, however the Hubspot form gives a "Please enter a valid email address." error message when he enters his email
with a .org domain.

For testing purposes, I changed the .org to .com on the form and the error message disappears (even though the email address is then, in fact, not valid).

The form istelf has no email domains blocked.

I am able to update his contact record to his preferred .org email address just fine.

 

How can I sign him up for our newsletter with his preferred .org email address?

Any insights?

Do you have any "email domains to block" set within the "Email" settings in your form:

That's the main email address blocker that comes to mind.

 

I also found this HubSpot Community thread on .io email addresses that were being rejected in forms. There are a bunch of helpful troubleshooting steps that you can run through as well!

 

If you're still having trouble, your best bet is reaching out to HubSpot Support to help you troubleshoot further.
