It's possible to A/B test CTAs. It's possible to A/B test Landing Pages.
Is it possible to A/B test pairs of CTAs and Landing Pages together.
I've created a B landing page with a very different message from the A landing page. I want to create separate CTAs for the A and B landing page in which the message aligns in the CTA with the landing page.
I.e., I seek to test and A CTA/Landing Page and a B CTA/Landing Page.
Hey @jfd118 would creating two CTAs not solve this? If you just had regular CTAs created for A and B. then just placed them into your landing page variants as normal (IE CTA A in landing page A and B in landing page B) they'll just pull in that content and you can measure the page variants as a whole. There wouldn't really be a need to measure the CTAs seperately.
It's worth noting however it's usually best practice to only test a very specific element in a/b tests. The more content you're a/b testing the more variables there will be and the less specific you can be on what worked and what didn't. So it could be an idea to first test your content, then on the successful content start a/b testing the CTAs.

Hey @jfd118 -- this is a great question. The typical behavior of an A/B test is to be random per visitor. If we put an A/B test on an A/B test there is no way to guarantee that CTA B will always show on Landing Page A or vice versa for the A variant.
I set up a test for this in my own account and here are a few screenshots from separate instances of loading the A/B test page with the A/B test CTA on it:
This was just from refreshing in my same browser. In this case, it seems like it would be more effective to create two CTAs and put a different version on each variation of the landing page.
Let's check with some of our experts to verify if my testing above makes sense as well! Hey @GRajput, @TomM2 do you have any alternative conclusions for using an AB test CTA on an AB test landing page?
Best, Kennedy
