Updating a category Changed the 'Last Modified' date for all articles
SOLVE
So I made a quick adjustment to the placement of a single article in one of my categories and discovered that every article in that category has their "Last Modified" date changed to today.
Is this supposed to happen? I don't recall this ever happening before when making tweaks to my categories.
Based on available information and HubSpot’s behavior, this is not necessarily intended behavior, but it can happen.
When you move or reassign an article to a different category, HubSpot sees this as a structural change, which can trigger a "Last Modified" update for all articles in that category, even if their actual content wasn’t changed.
What you can do:
Check Settings > Data Management > Audit Logs to see what triggered the update.
Reach out to HubSpot Support for clarification.

Yes, this behavior can happen depending on how your content management system (CMS) handles category updates. In some CMS platforms, particularly WordPress, updating a category or making a change that affects taxonomy (like moving or reassigning an article to a different category) can trigger a "Last Modified" timestamp update for all articles associated with that category.
