As you can see, I'd like a bigger logo to be featured on the homepage, but it's a bit much to have the logo in the header too (but necessary for the other pages).
1 - yes, you can hide a header image with code, but since you're using a free plan the code can't be added to the individual page and you'd need a developer to create a template for you that has the logo removed from the header.
With that said, I'm going to throw out a few thoughts:
First, reconsider the massive logo image in the hero of your home page, it's not adding any value and takes up the most important position on the page.
Second, resize your header logo to be just a tiny bit smaller.
It's your instinct as the creator of the brand to want your logo to be big, bold, and noticeable, but the logo isn't answering any of the questions that your site visitors are there to get.
Let the focus be on the most important content in the hero.
2 - your pages have weird URLs because you haven't set the content slug.
Go to the page editor, open the page, click settings, and update here in the "content slug" box:
You'll want to change it to "contact" not "#contact" as the # implies an anchor link and you can't set that as the page url, it would have to be defined somewhere on the page and would jump to that position on the page.
It's currently going to a page you don't plan to use because the blog that is auto-created doesn't have a blog slug, so it's using the root domain (also because your website home page is using the language prefix in slug, so /en-gb is technically where that page resides).
If you don't plan to create a blog, I would go in and delete it from the Settings > Content > blog so you don't have to worry about it.
If you want to publish one in the future, add "blog" to the blog slug so that it can be reached at /blog instead of your root domain.
Since it is your root domain and #contact is technically an anchor that doesn't exist on that page, it's just loading that page and not jumping to a set position (disregarding the anchor completely).
I'm happy to help if you have clarifying questions once you start making the updates.

Hi @JennaLace sorry for the delayed response, there were some email notification delays happening here in the community and we weren't getting all notifications for replies to posts.
I'm glad you got the center alignment issue resolved for the text, I can confirm I see it centered on my side as well.
From a user experience perspective, the expected behavior of a logo in the header of a website is to go to the homepage - this is a universal UI functionality that I wouldn't deviate from.
I saw one website with a cool use case that allowed you to download the graphic files from the logo, but there was a visual cue to do so - no one is expecting an enlarged version of the logo to appear on click, it would be helpful to understand why that would be the desired behavior and if there's a better way to approach it.

hi @JennaLace I'm not sure if this is the post you wrote last night that disappeared (strange things happening here in the community the last few days), but to answer your questions:
1 - it looks like you've turned off "use prefix in slug" for your main settings, so you need to update the home page on the language tab (you can't click into the language slug box to delete the en-gb directly) - you need to clear the language out so it says "search":
I would also recommend turning off "enable language specific redirects here (unless you plan on having multiple languages at some point):
2 - you'll need to edit your menu to update the URL, this is either a simple menu in the header or under navigation menus:
If your menu isn't built in the settings, you'll have to click into the header to open the global content editor and find the setting to update the link there.

@JennaLace if you cloned the home page to create the others, it's like the page title wasn't updated. You can go to Edit > Settings for each page or click the settings widget under the publish button in the upper right to update your page titles:

I have successfully made the top-level menu items unclickable; however, they still have the appearance/functionality of being clickable. This means someone can click on them and the page refreshes the one it is currently on. Is there not a way to prevent that refreshing so that nothing happens? I'm aware this would be standard on other websites?
Yes, you already helpfully replied to my last query with those instructions. I should have stated that I had followed those - as per the printscreen below. In the printscreen, you can see 'no link' is chosen for the About and Get Involved menu items. Whilst this has removed being taken to those webpages, the webpage one currently on still refreshes, so it seems as though to the user that they have clicked on something but essentially landed on the same page again. Is there a way to prevent this happening?
Ah, sorry about that @JennaLace I forgot we talked about the menu already. It looks like the Growth theme that you're using is coded to have the link. There's not really an easy way to fix this without a devloper, and even then there'd be some rework involved with what you've already built.

Thanks for letting me know. Another issue is that the webtab perpetually states 'Home' despite being on a different webpage. For instance, in the printscreen below, the website is on the 'Contact' webpage but the webtab still states 'Home'. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello Jnix, My query for today is how do I make top-level headings in the main menu bar unclickable (i.e. because people should click an item from the drop-down menu)? I think it's something about using a hashtag, but I'm unsure where to put it. I tried to search for answers to this and could not see any.
Hi Jnix, Thanks for your continued help. I'll re-write my message from last night.
I have successfully changed all the webpage slugs. But I have two remaining issues:
1) I want the homepage to just be non-intersectionalveganism.co.uk. However, I cannot remove the language setting from the webpage. The first printscreen below shows how the system won't let me remove it, but it states that if it's the same language setting as my domain then it won't be displayed. The second printscreen below shows the language settings for my domain. Could the fact that the first two languages just state "English" rather than British or Amercian English be the problem? The system won't let me alter these though.
2) Actually, the other problem I had seems to have repaired itself overnight. I guess sometimes it takes updates a little while to settle into reality.
OK. I'll keep my logo linked to the homepage then. Yes, I was just thinking it might be nice for viewers to be able to see it in a larger format if they so wish.
That's sad. A post I left last night has disappeared!I had a copy whilst writing it, but once I saw it posted, I deleted my copy. 😞 I will have to re-write it later 😞
Hello again, The webslugs are mostly working now. I have two remaining problems as follows:
1) How do I remove the language from the homepage? It won't let me in the settings; it states that it won't display so long as it's the same as the defaul language in the domain. The second printscreen below shows the current language settings for the domains; it won't let me change the first two "English" settings to the more specific "English UK". I don't know if this is causing the problem as it's counting it as a different language?
2) This link is working for the homepage; however, whilst on the homepage, if I click onto another page and then select 'Home' from the menu bar, the link is stil set to https://non-intersectionalveganism.co.uk/en-gb/home, meaning it does not work (i.e. 'home' should not be there).

Hi Jnix, Another issue I'm having is that I want to centre-align the four points on the homepage here. However, these points are set to and indeed appear centre-aligned when editing the page (as per printscreen attached), but not on the live page as per the link above. Is this some kind of random bug or can this be fixed?
Additionally, I currently have the logo in the header linked to the homepage. Is there a way to just show a bigger image of the logo instead when someone clicks on it?
