Knowledge base alternatives

Hubspot's built in knowledge base feature has limited theme customisation, which means our knowledge base page looks like a different website to our main page. Has anyone found an alternative or created their own knowledge base page using hubspot themes and templates?

I suppose you can create your own knowledge base page within HubSpot using HubSpot themes and templates. And it'll allows you to maintain a consistent look and feel with your main website and you can utilize HubSpot's design tools to match your branding.

Does anyone know that if you use a Huspot theme as a knowledge base alternative, you lose some of hubspot's built-in functionality's? 🤔 

I would assume they are treated differently. How much, I do not know as a quick search did not confirm my assumptions.
