We have built our knowledgebase and added selected the option to block the page from seach engines and added <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> to reach individual article page header. This works with Google and Safari but not with Bing. I have cleared the cache and am still seeing our knowledgebase landing page and category pages index when using Microsoft Bing. When looking at the source code for the landing and category pages the <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> is not there. Is there an additional fix or code I need to place in the header of each page to stop the knowledgebase from indexing in Bing?
Just to clarify, I'm assuming that you're referring to Bing, the search engine, instead of Microsoft Edge since you mentioned Safari (browser) there. Clearing your browser cache has nothing to do with what Bing has in their index.
Can you confirm if you recently enabled the indexing option to block search engines?
The process of indexing/deindexing takes time, as it requires the search engine's robots to crawl/re-crawl your pages. Depending on your crawl budget, it may take days or even weeks.
