Knowledge Base Tool

Home page alignment off

I've reopened a ticket about this but thought I'd ping the brain trust here, if only to eventually post the solution for others.  This is what our HS Knowledgebase looks like in Minimal layout.  Note the bottom line alignment of the "Advisory" category.

1. I can't believe this is how it is designed to display.

2. Support added a tag in the Knowledgebase template that initially fixed it, but is no longer working:

<style>

.hs-kb-home-list__category {

   max-width: inherit!important;

 }

</style>

3. The code above worked when there was 1 fewer categories.

Any ideas on how to get the alignment to work?  We're going live in 2 weeks and I need to record a video tour - but not when it looks this stupid.

Hey @SBosevich are you able to share a link to a page seeing this on? To be honest if it's on a HubSpot provided template I'd definitely follow-up with HubSpot on it as it would be a bug that needs to be fixed.

No, I can't - it's private content, but the screen shot is what you would see.  I've figured out a workaround by creating a ghost category and associated published article, which forced that wayward category to its proper spot.  For for a HubSpot generic template, it should work out of the box.   Indicently, I just heard back from support - they say they can't help and that I need a developer!

Hey @SBosevich thanks for following up.

Unfortunately that's a bit of a canned response from HubSpot support every time you mention any styling issue. You should remind them that knowledgebases don't support custom coded themes and all theme styles are applied within the HubSpot settings. If you require a developer it would be good to know where the developer applied the custom styles in the first place as to my understanding you can't apply custom code to knowledgebase articles. So this would be a HubSpot layout issue.
