The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles - individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride. The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the award-winning Discovery Center and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C. The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is seeking a part-time employee (28 hours per week with 1-3 years’ experience) to assist with marketing and video production, as well as to manage the Foundation’s social media accounts. On a weekly basis, responsibilities include assisting the Digital Communications Producer with video projects relating to social media (our Monday Minute podcast, our Thursday Throwback podcast, livestreaming events, and more.) The Social Media Video Producer will also be responsible for gathering, maintaining and creating content for posting on the Reagan Foundation’s social media sites, which includes archival research, campus photos, and tracking current social media trends. This is a position that will require energy, creativity, and an ability to manage multiple projects that range across different platforms and purposes. The successful candidate would be willing to roll up his/her sleeves to do the work in support of the team. He/she needs to be enthusiastic, energetic and a reliable self-starter. He/she should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, both individually and in a group dynamic with the rest of the creative team. He/she should be able to come to the table with ideas and tactics to grow the Foundation’s subscriber base and page engagement.
