Ascend’s Marketing Account Strategist role leads the direction and strategy, and delivery and production, of our client’s marketing plans, working to exceed client expectations - on schedule and on budget. As a Marketing Account Strategist, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of client communications, being their lead advocate and liaison between them and our internal production team.
The Marketing Account Strategist sources and creates content, works with development and creative teams, provides analysis and reporting, and ensures Ascend and our clients are in complete alignment. The Marketing Account Strategist is equal parts relationship, strategy, and delivery management professional. We’re looking for responsible, accountable, and driven marketers who want to be a long-term, respected contributor to our team.
Throughout your time as Marketing Account Strategist, you will work directly with marketing professionals in a variety of industries and develop strategies to drive their businesses forward. You will grow professionally and work at a face pace with fellow team members to create revenue-impacting digital marketing programs.
The Day-to-Day:
Working alongside the Chief Experience Officer to generate client revenue growth.
Accountable for setting client strategy and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met across your accounts and projects.
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives.
Provide regular status updates, reporting, and analysis to clients and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
Properly communicating requirements and coordinating with Ascend creative and development resources.
Create and provide client deliverables.
Working to resolve challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Consult with the client on process, execution best practices, or technology.
Staying up-to-date with marketing trends and HubSpot updates to enable client success and identify upsell opportunities.
Communicating opportunities to improve the client experience with Ascend leadership.
Contributing to Ascend’s marketing initiatives.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is required
7+ years experience with digital marketing, content marketing, and social media
B.A. or B.S. degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Strong writing skills are required
HubSpot or marketing automation experience required
Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a tenacious belief in hitting deadlines and meeting commitments
Proficiency in using reporting software like HubSpot, Databox, Google Analytics, or custom dashboards to gather, evaluate, and present data.
Ability to interpret data from various sources (e.g., CRM, marketing, and sales data) and identify key insights to guide decision-making.
Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Demonstrated ability to think creatively based on customer requirements
Demonstrated analytical thinking and independent management skills
Understanding of major social media platforms
Understanding of email marketing best practices and compliance
Proficiency in HubSpot CMS/Content Hub and/or content management skills
Desire to learn on your own and keep up with digital marketing developments and best practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Supply chain industry and B2B experience is a plus
