Hiring Director of Digital Marketing (Chicago, IL)

Our Digital Marketing Director is a key member of IAE’s marketing leadership team. The successful candidate will establish practices and procedures for marketing coordinators who build and maintain the paid messaging and promotion seen by tens of millions of people each year.  The Director will further seek to stay current on the latest digital marketing trends while providing mentorship, professional development, and educational opportunities for their team of coordinators.

Responsibilities include:  

  • Drive digital marketing strategies and efforts to sell tickets to live events to customers across the US and in Canada using the following platforms: 

Hubspot 

  • Establish standardized processes and best practices for audience database building and maintenance  
  • Create standardized workflow automation marketing campaigns within Hubspot that can be deployed for each event. 
  • Oversee and guide digital coordinators who are responsible for building Hubspot campaigns including emails, automations, SMS for 200+ events annually 
  • Drive ongoing improvements to contact card standards  

Meta 

  • Manage and guide digital coordinators who are responsible for building Meta campaigns for 200+ events annually 
  • Leverage Hubspot insights to create targeted campaigns within Meta that enhance customer journeys and optimize conversions 
  • Implement pixels to track conversions within Meta 
  • Oversee organic social media copywriting and scheduling 

Google 

  • Utilize lead generation, goal setting within Google Analytics, and sales data to measure performance of digital marketing campaigns, make data-driven decisions, and provide insights to inform future digital strategies  
  • Standardize best practices for Google Ad Words campaigns 
  • Oversee digital coordinators who are responsible for building Google Tag Manager accounts 
  • Set up accounts, strategize, build goals and monitor Google Analytics accounts 
  • Direct in-depth keyword research and oversee SEO/SEM to increase organic and paid results 

 

  • Manage a team of digital marketing coordinators 
  • Track budgets and document final campaign spends for each event 
  • Take advantage of all available opportunities for professional development by independently learning from online educational tools within Google, Meta, TM, HubSpot platforms 
  • Regularly advise department heads and executive team on digital marketing performance and best practices  
  • Identify new trends and technology to improve digital marketing & data workflow  

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or relevant work life experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of Business to Consumer digital marketing 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Hubspot 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Meta  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Google Tag Manager 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Google Ad Words  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Google Analytics  
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, managing a multi-person team 
  • Hubspot Certification Required 
  • Ability to quickly learn digital policies and procedures and apply them to track, analyze and optimize campaign results 
  • A good understanding of database structure, data health and audience building  
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills  
  • Meticulous attention to detail  
  • General understanding of all major social networking platforms  
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, with advanced Excel skills required  

 

Job Type: Full-time, fully in office (no remote work), 40+ hours weekly
