Digital Marketing Manager Job - Nearpod (Edtech)

Position Overview:

Are you a data-driven, multi-channel digital marketing enthusiast that is passionate about supporting educators? Nearpod is seeking an experienced, growth-oriented digital marketer with expertise in email, website marketing, SEM and SEO to join our high energy marketing team. 

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across marketing teams and across departments to develop and execute the digital marketing plan that delivers on customer growth (B2C) and demand generation (B2B) goals targeting teacher and education industry administrator audiences worldwide. 

This individual will be a marketing expert across several digital channels, with primary responsibility for the effective design and deployment of traffic driving, and high conversion email marketing, paid search, PPC and paid social campaigns with strong influence in website content creation, SEO and other digital marketing strategies and tactics. Additionally, inbound digital marketing experience is a plus. 

 

This role will report to the Director, Digital & Channel Marketing and will influence digital marketing best practices throughout the entire go-to-market organization.

 

Our ideal Candidate Will:

  • Digital marketing pro: Be an expert in digital marketing tactics, with the ability to articulate industry standard best practices across a variety of outbound and inbound efforts including email nurture, email opt-in list build, paid digital advertising and SEO

  • Technical wizard: Be deeply familiar with marketing operations and variety of martech tools that can be effectively leveraged to execute high impact digital marketing campaigns (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, Intercom, Braze, Google Analytics, Adwords, Data Studio, Tableau, Mixpanel)

  • Strategy & analytics: Have a passion for connecting the dots between data, analytics, and effective digital marketing campaign execution, iteration and ongoing improvement. Leverage data insights to influence content and campaign execution across the organization to improve marketing ROI across all channels. Be able to develop and deliver KPI reporting that measures campaign effectiveness and demonstrates clear marketing impact on company business objectives.

  • Business driven: Plan, execute, and optimize paid search and advertising investment across various channels to ensure brand, customer growth and lead acquisition goals are met

  • Curious: Test and optimize marketing messages across email and paid media channels (including variables such as messaging, audience segments, and creative) 

  • Team player: Collaborate cross functionally with Nearpod’s marketing, product and instructional content teams to align campaigns to the overall marketing calendar and product roadmap. Capable of providing professional development and training opportunities across all departments on the functions of digital marketing.

  • Leadership: Have experience hiring and managing external agencies, independent contractors or in-house employees to deliver results

  • Fiscal acumen: Have experience managing a the end-to-end budget needed to optimize the company’s investment in digital marketing

  • Be a self-starting team player who thrives in a remote-first, high energy, tech company culture

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of experience in digital marketing

  • Copywriting “to channel” and “to persona” capability

  • Email and paid marketing campaign management experience including development, execution and measurement

  • Highly organized and collaborative with a strong track record of working with cross-functional teams and agencies, including the ability to manage external contributors

  • Experience in K12 education industry, with understanding of the daily lives of both teachers and administrators is preferred

  • Excellent time management and project prioritization skills

  • Experience with HTML, PHP, CSS and related industry standards 

  • Experience with Marketing Automation/CRM tools such as but not limited to: Intercom, Braze, Mixpanel, Pardot, and Salesforce 

  • Thrives in a growth stage company environment, including the ability to adapt to change as needed and make data-informed decisions quickly
