Job description

Second Mile Marketing is looking for an Account Manager whose main focuses are: building and growing excellent client relationships, delivering top-notch strategic services, and coordinating and developing key players on the Second Mile team. Our office is located in Knoxville, TN; however, this position is available to remote applicants as well.

 

If this is the job for you, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee a wide variety of HubSpot and digital marketing clients. You’ll be the point person and act as the liaison between the client’s goals and needs while also being mindful of internal resources to deliver services on time, within budget, and, our hope is to meet and exceed expectations in that process. You would be working hand-in-hand with a great team like our CMO, HubSpot specialists, web developers, business development team, and contractors.

 

Someone who is successful in this position would be a go-getter who leads through empathy and sets clear expectations. This person will need strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to read the room and, at times, strike a balance between the client’s needs and the company’s resources.

 

Your main goals as an Account Manager:

  • Build and grow client relationships
  • Maintain client satisfaction and retention

What you’re responsible for:

  • Client Relationships
  • Function as the liaison and main point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Respond in a timely, professional, and kind manner to day-to-day communications
  • Understand client goals and objectives
  • Build a strategy to accomplish the client’s goals
  • Plan for and lead client meetings and presentations
  • Communicate client expectations and responsibilities
  • Understand the scope of work, evaluate potential out-of-scope opportunities, and consult internally for additional project plans and budgets
  • Project Execution and Facilitation
  • Create and maintain timelines for project deliverables
  • Ensure projects are executed within their budgets and create a clear plan with options for remediation if/when that is not the case
  • Manage a number of simultaneous projects and set priorities
  • Review deliverables, send to the client, consolidate feedback, and communicate to the team
  • Organize and document project deliverables, templates, etc.
  • Assign tasks and projects to respective team members or contractors and make sure they have what they need to execute
  • Ensure individuals accurately track time and that tasks are completed in a timely manner to move projects forward
  • Assign or execute ad-hoc client requests by synthesizing the information into a task, provide a due date and time estimation, communicate with the client, and track the task through completion
  • Address, solve and collaborate with the team for pain points or roadblocks
  • Execute project tasks such as auditing HubSpot portals, building workflows, developing content strategies, etc.
  • Track project progress and project expenses
  • Be ready to lend a hand and support in other tasks/projects as assigned
  • Team Support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to accomplish tasks
  • Coach, train, and elevate team members
  • Run meetings and check-in sessions
  • Document and follow up on action items from meetings (both internal and external), create tasks within our project management system to execute these items, and ensure those tasks have clear instructions and deadlines
  • Facilitate deliverables with contractors and maintain strong relationships with these individuals
  • Participate actively in team meetings and opportunities
  • Provide other administrative support as needed

  • Identify gaps or roadblocks and develop a strategy to address these pain points
  • Document or assist in documenting updated processes
  • Increase your HubSpot knowledge and expertise
  • Grow client accounts and company revenue

For this person to succeed he/she will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in a client facing role(s)
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the HubSpot platform (or similar marketing/sales automation tools)
  • Strongly preferred: HubSpot certifications. If you do not have HS certifications these will be required in the first 90-days in the role
  • Experience working with remote teams and tech (ClickUp, Slack, Google, Zoom)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
